Where would you like to fly?
Flyout - February 20th
During our general meeting today, we discussed planning a northerly and southerly destination for each flyout, to accommodate possible weather conditions. It was also discussed that flyouts don't have to be limited to meeting dates.
We have tentatively set each Saturday as a flyout day. If you would like to fly on Saturday, February 20th, let us know by replying to this topic. If you have a suggestion for a north or south destination, let us know.
Have a favorite on-field (or near-field) restaurant? Know of an event happening that we can fly to? Let us know. This is YOUR aviation community. We look forward to your input!

Wings of Dreams Air Show and Wings of Freedom Tour
Saturday, February 20, is the big event at Keystone Heights Airport. From 9-5 the Collings Foundation bombers, B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, the only flying B-24 Liberator, and TP-51C are open for tours. B-25 instruction is offered. A fighter ace symposium, WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) symposium, and vintage cars, motorcycle, and military equipment will be displayed.
Saturday night the Hangar Dance takes place, with the 22-piece Clay County Community Swing Band playing hits from the 40's. The Elvis Presley impersonator that appeared at 2008's dinner will return. It is a great show with the nose of the B-17 pulled into the open hangar doors.
Keystone Heights, 42J, is only 38 nautical miles from SGJ on a 260 degree course.
