Greetings!
Just wanted to share that my wife and I flew to Jekyl Island last Friday for lunch and it was amazing! The day was perfect. Took 54 min up and 38 back in our 172. The airport is so neat and it's a wonderful walk up to the resort. We ate at the little snack shop on the water. It's a great trip and the grounds of the resort have some of the largest Oak trees we've ever seen!

Jekyll is a great getaway for a day or a weekend. We loved it when Valdosta State performed shows at the amphitheatre there. We would go "snooping" through his antique book store, and the shopping village...especially the FUDGE shoppe!

SAAPA even had a couple "Olympic" fly-outs up there. You're right about the oaks...all day shade to just relax.
