Plans are under way for the next Quarterly Dinner. We will have barbecue at the Multi-Use Building on the south ramp. Cost is $15 per person.

Noel Schoonmaker has proposed the program: His sister, winning Film Editor Thelma Schoonmaker, has won Academy Awards (Oscars) for the films The Aviator, The Departed and Raging Bull. Noel will present a 30-minute video in the Multi-Use Facility that shows how Thelma takes all the film footage of a scene from The Aviator and edits it to the final product. This should be both educational and entertaining. A must see!

Should we have popcorn?

at the New Multi Use Building Up Stairs..

Grill Masters are NOEL and ROCK

Menu: Steaks, Chicken, Toss Salad, Baked Potato's $15.00 per person..

Water and soda will be available and beer for a donation of $1.00

If you like to bring a appetizer or dessert that would be great and of course BYOB....

We have a great program that Noel Schoonmaker will do of how Flying scenes were made for the movie "Aviator".

It will display how the crash scenes were done and how the flying scenes were done without the real aircraft available.

Noel will also briefly describe the movie making process, the cost, and the time frame for completing a movie. Noel will introduce his Sister, Thelma Schoonmaker who edited "The Aviator" and give a short Bio on her accomplishments. She has done all of Marty Scorcese's films since the late 70's. We will have her Academy Award that she won for editing "The Aviator" there for people to see and have a picture taken if they like. This DVD program was done specifically for this function.

Rob Legato is the best special effects people in Hollywood and he put this together at my sisters request. It is a very professional production and all who have seen it were very pleased.
