Heavy Metal Jet Team is a newly formed civilian jet team featuring 4 L-39s and a T-33 piloted by seasoned airshow veterans. The team will be practicing their airshow routine here in St. Augustine the first weekend in
February in preparation for their debut as a team at Sun 'n Fun later this spring.
Please mark your calendar now and send an email or call to let us know you plan to attend.

The evenings menu will feature a rib eye steak dinner. Steaks and baked potatoes (idaho or sweet) will be provided. Iced tea, sodas, water, and coffee will be available. Please plan to BYOB if you are so inclined. Dress is flight suit casual. Cost is $15 p/person
Please consider...
If you are able to contribute an appetizer veggie tray, cheese tray, or fruit tray please RSVP.
If you are able to contribute a green leaf salad please RSVP so that we may plan accordingly.
In an effort to reduce waste and conserve our SAAPA dollars we're asking for volunteers to contribute a simple green salad.
The contributed salads will be tossed and combined into a larger bowl on the serving table with salad dressings on the side.
If you are able to contribute a dessert please RSVP so that we may plan accordingly.
For those members who enjoy baking this is your time to shine.
We'd love to share our members' homemade baking talents with our visitors.
We are trying a few different approaches in organizing meals and refreshments for various SAAPA events
to see what may be the most efficient, with minimum waste, and most convenient for all members.
If you are available at or before 4pm on Feb 4th to help with set-up or after the event on Feb 4th for clean-up please RSVP so that we may plan accordingly with before and after refreshments for our set-up and clean-up teams. This is a great way to get to know some of your fellow SAAPA members so please consider pitching in with a little team work.
Please let us know if there is an interest in having a (SAAPA provided) cooler of beer available to purchase for $1 each.
We look forward to an enjoyable evening together as a community watching the HEAVY METAL JET TEAM as they end their first day of practice in St. Augustine and hosting them for dinner afterward.
If you or your business would be interested in sponsoring a SAAPA event please contact Craig Fordem or Denise Snodgrass for more information.
